Central Credit Union of Florida reinvents annual Member Appreciation Day for 2021

On Thursday, October 21st, 2021, the Board of Directors, management, and staff of Central Credit Union of Florida commemorated their annual Membership Appreciation Day event for 2021 with a new twist after having deferred the event for 2020. The day was arranged to fall on the 73rd anniversary of International Credit Union Day and celebrated the theme “Building Financial Health for a Brighter Tomorrow” – an initiative the local credit union is committed to as it works with its membership and communities primarily in the Pensacola and Panama City, Florida areas.

“The pandemic presented certain challenges when it came to offering large-scale events, but this year we were determined to restore the event and continue to give back to our community in a fun way where everyone could participate,” states Central Credit Union of Florida. “Hosting our Member Appreciation Day event is one way we can say ‘thank you’ to our members for their trust and membership.”

This year, instead of a singular event at the main branch, all five branch locations in Pensacola and Panama City featured a different food vendor with members receiving a free meal. Members also received credit union giveaways and were able to enter a drawing for a grand prize awarded at each branch. Winners of the final prizes were selected at each branch the following morning and will be announced on the credit union’s social media accounts.
In the upcoming months, Central will also be hosting several campaigns online and in person to support charities in the Gulf Coast region during the holiday season.
