LAKE MARY, FL (March 16, 2015) -- Nickels add up to dollars, making big things happen for Central Florida school districts. CFE Federal Credit Union’s MyCFE4Schools affinity debit card program is proof of that.
The credit union recently donated over $110,000 in proceeds from purchases made with MyCFE4Schools affinity debit cards throughout 2014. Orange, Osceola, and Seminole County schools have participated and benefitted from this program since 2009.
The program allows CFE members to select a custom debit card that supports the school district of their choice. Each time the MyCFE4Schools card is used for a signature-based transaction, CFE sets aside five cents for its annual donation. CFE has donated over $490,000 since the program’s inception.
“The MyCFE4Schools program is a great example of different organizations working together to accomplish a common goal. CFE was originally founded by educators, and we’re proud to give back to each of our participating school systems,” said Joseph A.
