Centralia, IL new branch now open for business
DECATUR, IL (November 1, 2019) — Banking is all about convenience, and now Land of Lincoln Credit Union (LLCU) has opened a new location in the heart of Centralia, Illinois, offering accessibility for more members in the central-southern region of the state.
The newly renovated building at 234 N. Poplar St. in Centralia, IL, is a full-service branch with a two-lane drive-up and 24-hour ATM. The branch is very visible and easily accessible to traffic, offering ample parking.
“LLCU is not new to Centralia. For years, we’ve been located in the Murray Center, with a very loyal base of members that are Murray Center employees,” stated Robert Ares, LLCU President & CEO. “Anyone who lives and/or works in Marion County is eligible for LLCU membership, but being in Murray Center created limitations for us to serve ALL residents in Marion County. This new location allows us the opportunity to elevate the level of service we can provide to our on-going loyal members, which includes the Murray Center employees, while attracting NEW members who couldn’t easily access our old location.”
The branch sits in what was once Thorson Appliance Sales. Newly renovated, offering decor to reflect the rich railroad history of Centralia, with a contemporary style not often found in a financial service building. As members arrive, they can enjoy a free coffee & tea bar, a plush leather lounge area and a mural of Abraham Lincoln next to an illuminated steam engine locomotive.
Emily Moore is the Centralia Branch Manager and is very excited at the prospect of having a new, full-service facility for our members. “This has been a long-time coming for our members here in Centralia and it is going to be wonderful to have a publicly-accessible facility for all.” said Moore.
