CFE Federal Credit Union announced as title sponsor of the AutoNation Cure Bowl All-Stars event

The Orlando Sports Foundation named the CFE Federal Credit Union as the title sponsor of the organization’s second annual AutoNation Cure Bowl All-Stars event.

The high school football game features players, marching band members, cheerleaders and trainer aides from their respective schools in Seminole and Orange Counties. Up to 300 students from over 40 high schools are expected to participate. Last year, around 70% of the football players received financial aid to play football in college.

The game will take place on Wednesday, December 11 at Showalter Field in Winter Park. Tickets for the event are $5 at the gate but entry is free with a donation of a children’s Christmas gift for the coaches’ Toy Drive Challenge.

Alan Gooch, CEO of the Orlando Sports Foundation, is excited to join forces with CFE Federal Credit Union.

“The Orlando Sports Foundation couldn’t be more pleased to welcome the CFE Federal Credit Union as the title sponsor for our AutoNation Cure Bowl All-Stars game,” said Gooch. “Their involvement in the Central Florida community, more specifically their support of our public schools, makes us proud to partner with them for this event.”

Founded by teachers more than 80 years ago, CFE Federal Credit Union has a longstanding history of supporting education in Central Florida. Through financial literacy, scholarship opportunities, and other initiatives, CFE works to serve its partners in the local school districts and higher education institutions.

“Education is at the cornerstone of all that we do, and CFE is pleased to partner with the Orlando Sports Foundation to support our local students,” said Linh Dang, CFE’s Chief Development Officer. “We are proud of the hard work that these students have invested, and look forward to seeing them on the field this December.”

The Orlando Sports Foundation’s signature event is the AutoNation Cure Bowl, an NCAA post-season bowl game played the third Saturday in December each year at Camping World Stadium. Funds raised from the bowl game and ancillary events such as the All-Stars game directly benefit the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Since the bowl game’s inception in 2015, over $3.55 million has been raised for breast cancer research.
