CFE Federal Credit Union hosts CEO roundtable for employees

LAKE MARY, FL (November 13, 2017) — This fall, CFE Federal Credit Union employees gathered together at Clean The World to assemble personal care packages for those affected by Hurricane Maria. At the helm of this initiative was Kevin Miller, who transitioned into his role as CFE’s President and CEO earlier this year.

This community service project was the second part of a two-part roundtable series, called Coffee with Kevin, which invited 16 employees from various branches and support departments to share their feedback on the CEO transition and other aspects of CFE’s operations.

“One of my goals as CEO is to create a more empowered culture at CFE,” said Miller. “Through groups like Coffee with Kevin, I hope to encourage two-way communication with employees and ensure their voices are heard.”

During Part 1 of Coffee with Kevin, employees met for breakfast with Miller to discuss their ideas for how to better serve credit union members and create new opportunities for CFE. Six weeks later, that same group joined together to volunteer at Clean The World, followed by a lunch to debrief on changes that had taken place at CFE during that time.

Beginning in 2018, Miller plans to facilitate at least three Coffee with Kevin roundtable groups each year, which will continue to take place in two parts. While the first meeting of each session will consist of breakfast and coffee, the second will incorporate a fun group activity or community service event to enable team-building and break down barriers.

“I look forward to collaborating with CFE employees through future roundtables to continuously improve and create an even better place for our members to do business,” said Miller.
