This spring, the University of Central Florida recognized Valerie Moses, Senior Relationship Manager at CFE Federal Credit Union, with the 2019 30 Under 30 Award. This award program distinguishes 30 of the university’s alumni under the age of 30 who have demonstrated professional success, community involvement, university impact, and philanthropic support to UCF.
Since 2013, Valerie has served in the Community Engagement and Partnerships department at CFE, managing the credit union’s relationship with the university as the official financial institution of the UCF Knights along with its various campus sponsorships. Valerie facilitates financial education and career-focused workshops for all age groups, with a specialized focus on college students. She also leads a variety of corporate communication initiatives, and has worked alongside credit union leadership to assist with the organization’s rebranding efforts. On May 1, the Lake Mary-based credit union will change its name to Addition Financial, leading to expansion throughout the region and more inclusivity among prospective members.
Valerie received her Bachelor of Arts in Advertising and Public Relations in 2013 from UCF, followed by her Master of Business Administration (MBA) in 2018. She serves as Chair of UCF’s College of Sciences alumni chapter and Communication Chair of UCF’s Burnett Honors College chapter. In addition, she is a member of ATHENA Next Gen, an Orlando-based organization for emerging female leaders, volunteers for Junior Achievement of Central Florida, and serves as an alumni mentor to several UCF students.
