(TINTON FALLS, N.J.) – United Teletech Financial is posing a challenge to community members this summer: save a million dollars and help out local charities.
United Teletech Financial wants community members to save a combined total of one million dollars in interest expense this summer. The Million Dollar Community Challenge aims to not only save individuals money, but bring money back to the community. When the community has saved a million dollars in interest expense, United Teletech Financial will donate $5,000 each to two charities.
“We are really excited about the Million Dollar Community Challenge. Knowing we are helping individuals save money and reduce debt is great, but it’s even better knowing that we are going to be able to contribute to such worthwhile charities,” Leo Ardine, CEO of United Teletech Financial, said.
Charities involved include FoodBank of Monmouth & Ocean Counties, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Monmouth & Middlesex Counties, Monmouth County SPCA, Clean Ocean Action, and The Salvation Army-Red Bank Corps. Community members can vote for their favorite charity at jerseysaves.org.
United Teletech Financial has developed two new ways to save on interest rates with its TimeShifter mortgage loan and the Cut the Card personal loan. The TimeShifter mortgage helps to reduce mortgage terms – potentially saving the consumer thousands in interest expense. The Cut the Card loan aims to create a fixed rate payment plan to lower interest while increasing cash flow.
This challenge goes beyond saving money on interest expense to teach individuals how to be more financially responsible.
“In any promotion we do, we aim to teach people along the way. We are always striving to increase financial literacy for people of any age,” Ardine said.
United Teletech Financial hosts many events to educate individuals about financial responsibility. Besides providing money-saving interest rates, United Teletech Financial also hosts “reality fairs” to teach youth how to budget and plan for a financially stable future.
“We hold strong ties to our community, and we hope this challenge will unite the community together for a common goal,” Ardine said.
United Teletech Financial is also giving away an iPad 2 as part of the Million Dollar Community Challenge. People can register by texting ‘iPad’ to 68099 or signing up online at jerseysaves.org for a chance to win.
