Champion Credit Union is proud to announce their plans to open two new offices in Henderson County. The first of which will be on Boylston Highway in Mills River with a first quarter 2019 target open date. The second office will come one year later, on Four Seasons Boulevard in Hendersonville.
Champion Credit Union was founded in Canton in 1932, making them the oldest credit union in the area. In recent years, they have been blessed with the financial success and security to continue to grow their footprint. “The absence of a physical presence in Henderson County represents a significant void in one of the largest markets in our community charter,” says President/CEO Jake Robinson. “While we have been successful in acquiring members through business, indirect, and mortgage channels, we have struggled to develop primary banking relationships because of the convenience barrier. Beginning today, we will be breaking down that barrier.”
As a part of their strategic planning process, Champion Credit Union identified opening an office in the Henderson County community as an important initiative. When the unique opportunity to open not one but two additional offices in the area presented itself, Robinson and staff were very proactive to begin the process, eager to take advantage. “This is the perfect chance for us to further serve communities in Western North Carolina and truly bring them a local, simplified, banking option.”
