Change the community with your “change”

Connex Credit Union kicks off fourth quarter “Coins for Change” program benefiting local community organizations for 2013

NORTH HAVEN, CT (October 2, 2013) -- Connex Credit Union supports local organizations with coin donation program. Connex coin counting machines charge a 5 percent fee to Connex members and a 7 percent fee to non-members. Unlike most machines that charge higher fees and profit from them, Connex donates 100 percent of the fees to various organizations in the community. Coin cashing machines can be found at Connex branches in North Haven, Wallingford, Hamden and Guilford.

From October 1 through December 31, visit:

  • Connex Guilford Branch located at 849 Boston Post Road to donate to the Women & Family Life Center
  • Connex Hamden Branch located at 2100 Dixwell Avenue to donate to Concepts for Adaptive Learning
  • Connex North Haven Branch located at 412 Washington Avenue to donate to the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA)
  • Connex Wallingford Branch located at 970 North Colony Road to donate to the Sisters’ Project

If you are a local non-profit or charitable organization interested in participating in the “Coins for Change” program, please contact Chris Whalen at Connex Credit Union, at 203-603-5787 or cwhalen@connexcu.org.
