Chester County Credit Union leader elected to the Pennsylvania Credit Union Association Board
HARRISBURG, PA (April 5, 2016) — The members of the Pennsylvania Credit Union Association (the Association) have reelected Christine Woods, President & CEO of Keystone Federal Credit Union, to its Board of Directors. Woods will serve a three-year term and represent credit unions in the total assets greater than $50 million up to $250 million dollars category. Since 2008, Woods has served as the CEO of the West Chester-headquartered credit union.
She began her career in the credit union movement in 1989, working for Hershey FCU. In 1998, she was named CEO of New Visions Community FCU, where she remained for seven years. In 2005, she joined Keystone FCU as Executive Vice President and three years later was promoted to CEO.
Ms. Woods has earned the Certified Credit Union Executive (CCUE), Credit Union Compliance Expert (CUCE), and Credit Union Enterprise Risk Management Expert (CUERME) designations. She has attended the Judge/Bradley and CUNA Management Schools. An active participant in credit union activities, Ms. Woods serves on the board of the Pennsylvania Credit Union Foundation; as Board Secretary of the Delaware Valley Chapter of Credit Union Executives; as Board Secretary of Member Business Financial Services; as well as Chairing the Pennsylvania Credit Union Association’s Awards and serves on Regulatory Review Committees. In 2006, she was honored with the Pennsylvania Credit Union Association’s Lifetime Achievement Award for Professional of the Year.
A firm believer in mentoring youth and helping them to develop a passion for credit unions, Ms. Woods has coached several Youth Ambassador contestants. In her spare time, she can usually be found hanging out with her favorite young people – her growing brood of grandchildren.
