Children of Ardent Credit Union employees raise over $1,000 for Alex’s Lemonade Stand

This year, Ardent Credit Union celebrated Bring Your Child to Work Day with a special activation. A total of 25 kids ranging in age from 7 – 16 showed up to participate in the day’s activities, which included raising money for Alex’s Lemonade Stand, a national childhood cancer foundation. The kids were broken into groups, and learned about the importance of marketing, quality of product, location and pricing. Each group had the opportunity to create their own flyer and run their own lemonade stand. The stands were setup during lunch in the Ardent Credit Union cafeteria, as well as outside of the credit union. In total, the kids ended up raising $1,067.54 which they were able to donate towards researching new treatments and cures for all children battling cancer.
