Chris Conway appointed to the Community Depository Institutions Advisory Council

Chris Conway, President/CEO of Educational Systems Federal Credit Union, has been appointed to the Community Depository Institutions Advisory Council (CDIAC) of the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond.

The Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond serves Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina, and the CDIAC advises the Federal Reserve Bank's leaders and the Board of Governors about local economic and banking conditions. The 12 members of the CDIAC serve three-year terms and represent banks, credit unions and thrifts with assets up to $10 billion.

"I am honored to have been selected by the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond for the CDIAC," commented Chris Conway. "I am pleased to represent credit unions and other community financial institutions in our region."

Chris Conway has worked for Educational Systems FCU for over 20 years and has represented credit unions in numerous other roles. He is currently on the Board of Directors of the Education Credit Union Council where he previously served as President. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the Credit Union Foundation of Maryland and the District of Columbia. Previously, Chris served on the Board of Directors of the MD|DC Credit Union Association for 13 years. During his tenure, he held various leadership positions including Treasurer, Vice Chairman, Suburban Chapter President and Chairman of Credit Union Services Inc., a for-profit corporation owned by the MD|DC Credit Union Association. He is a member of the Metropolitan Area Credit Union Management Association, and he has represented credit unions on the Maryland State Department of Education's Financial Literacy Education Advisory Council.
