City & County Credit Union to host book signing for local athlete and author, Duke Pieper
ST. PAUL, MN (February 25, 2016) — City & County Credit Union will host a Book Signing for local athlete and author, Duke Pieper. On March 12, 2016 from 10:00am – 12:00pm, members of the community are invited to CCCU’s Shoreview branch to meet Duke Pieper and hear his incredible story.
Community members can visit CCCU’s Shoreview branch to get a book signed by Duke Pieper from 10:00am – 11:00am and from 11:30am – 12:00 pm. At 11:00am, Duke will tell his inspiring story by recounting his experiences and explaining his road to recovery. Plus – anyone who visits the branch can enter for a chance to win 2 tickets to the Big Ten Tournament at the Xcel Energy Center!
Duke Pieper, former Hill Murray hockey player, faced a brain injury that left him with a five percent survival rate. In his book, I’m Alive: Courage, Hope and a Miracle, Duke recounts his personal and courageous war against the brain lesion that threatened his life and his fearless battle to restore normalcy to his life.
