Collins Community Credit Union to help finance Marriott TownePlace Suites hotel in Dubuque’s Millwork District
CEDAR RAPIDS, IA (June 27, 2017) — Collins Community Credit Union, headquartered in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, is helping to finance an 85-room Marriott TownePlace Suites hotel in Dubuque, Iowa’s Millwork District. The hotel is intended to be built at 1100 Jackson St.
Scott Frost, Chief Lending Officer at Collins Community Credit Union, commented, “We are so excited to be involved in something like this. I am from Dubuque originally, so I especially love it. The Millwork District has been going gangbusters, and Kinseth Hospitality is a great management group for hotels. I think the Marriott will be great for the area and we are happy to be involved in this project.”
Keith Rahe, CEO of Travel Dubuque explained, “Dubuque is the number one destination in the state of Iowa for individuals and families as they come to spend time here, relax and enjoy all the things that we have. We don’t have much for extended-stay, and that’s a continuing growth that is needed within the lodging industry. This is an awesome addition to what we have for our lodging, so we’re thrilled.”
The hotel will offer one and two-bedroom studio suites with full kitchens, free Wi-Fi, and office areas. It’s expected to open in the spring of 2018.
