Community Choice Credit Union awards $2.8 million in member rewards
FARMINGTON HILLS, MI (January 14, 2019) — Community Choice awarded a record-breaking $2.8 million dollars to their members as part of its annual GetBigReward$® program. Throughout 2018, their members benefited from fee reimbursements, credits to their savings, and loan interest rebates.
In its fifth year, the GetBigReward$® program reimbursed members a total of $1,639,892 to offset monthly fees. Cash deposits totaling $801,689 were deposited to qualifying GetBigReward$® savings accounts, and for members who took advantage of lending opportunities with the Credit Union, an additional $389,134 was paid as an interest rebate on qualified loans. In total, Community Choice awarded $2,830,715 to their members in 2018.

GetBigReward$® is Community Choice’s variable rebate and rewards program. Since the program’s inception in 2013, Credit Union members have earned over $11.5 million dollars in rewards. Members are eligible to earn monthly credits that can be applied towards fee reimbursement. At the end of the year, unused credits accumulated by the member are deposited as cash into their savings account. Qualifying members are also eligible to earn an interest rebate on auto loans, recreational vehicles, secured loans, and personal loans. The variable rewards are based on the Credit Union’s success, and the loan interest rebate is reviewed on an annual basis. Over the lifespan of the program, the interest rebate has remained at 10%.
