Community Credit Union of Florida’s CEO, Laurie Cappelli announces retirement in Summer of 2024

Community Credit Union of Florida’s President and CEO, Laurie Cappelli, has announced her plans to retire in the Summer of 2024. Cappelli joined Community Credit Union 27 years ago as a Member Service Representative. She held multiple roles within the organization, including Vice President of Lending, Senior Vice President, and finally, Chief Executive Officer.

The Credit Union has experienced significant growth during Cappelli’s tenure, with asset growth of over $500 million under her leadership as President and CEO. Today, Community Credit Union of Florida has assets exceeding $1.1 billion, seven locations, and serves more than 56,000 members across six counties.

Community Credit Union’s Board of Directors has retained D. Hilton Associates to assist in a national search for Cappelli’s successor.

When asked about Cappelli’s upcoming retirement, Board Chair Jim Platman said, “Laurie’s leadership and commitment to this organization have been integral to our growth and success. We wish Laurie a fulfilling and happy retirement, and the Board looks forward to what the future entails for Community Credit Union, our valued employees, and the community we serve.”
