EUREKA, CA (September 1, 2023) — Last month, Compass Community Credit Union partnered with the Northern California Community Blood Bank (NCCBB), hosting a blood drive at two locations. Both members and staff were encouraged to participate on Wednesday, July 12, 2023. NCCBB arranged for their mobile van to be parked at the Compass Arcata branch. The Eureka branch directed donors to the nearby NCCBB headquarters, located at 2524 Harrison Ave in Eureka.
NCCBB is a non-profit organization that was founded in 1951 with the goal of providing a safe and adequate supply of blood for local patients. Every day it is necessary to collect blood in order to sustain the demand for local usage.
“A big shout-out and thank you to our members and staff for participating in the local blood drive,” said Compass Community Credit Union CEO, Ray Litchfield. “I would also like to thank the Northern California Community Blood Bank for partnering with us to make this a successful event.
