Conference to recognize training and development achievements in Las Vegas

MADISON, WI (April 22, 2015) — Credit union trainers will take-charge of professional development at CUNA Experience Learning Live! in Las Vegas, October 25-28, 2015.

“CUNA Experience Learning Live! empowers individuals to improve the employee development programs at their credit union,” commented Courtney Cantwell, Instructional Design Manager at CUNA. This event focuses on developing innovative training practices through the instruction of the training elite.”

Attendees discuss the latest industry trends, technologies and implementation strategies through the event’s skill building and networking sessions. New this year, first time attendees will be paired with mentors to guide them through the program, provide advice and answer questions throughout the conference.

In addition, CUNA will host the CUNA Experience Learning Live! (ELLy) Training Awards. The ELLy Awards recognize outstanding credit union training programs, departments and individuals for their contributions in training and development. First Place and Merit Awards will be presented to credit unions in six categories:

  • Best Production Design Award for achievement in educational material design
  • Best University (Chi Pi Delta) Awardfor the top credit union university based on  CUNA training
  • eLearning Awardfor excellence in technology-based training
  • Training Champion Awardfor remarkable training and development support by senior management
  • Training Professional of the Year Award for exceptional achievement by a credit union training professional or department
  • WOW Award for the best overall training program or event

Award winners will receive national recognition in industry publications and one complimentary registration for CUNA Experience Learning Live! in 2016, in addition to award ceremony recognition. Entries will be evaluated in two divisions based off credit union asset size. Application materials are due July 10, 2015.
