Connected Credit Union signs new agreement with Synergent to host the Symitar Episys core platform and provide additional value-added services

WESTBROOK, ME (August 24, 2020) — Synergent is pleased to announce that Connected Credit Union has signed a new ten-year outsourcing agreement with Synergent to provide the Symitar® Episys® core platform. The credit union also signed an agreement with Synergent for remote deposit services through Jack Henry’s Enterprise Payment Solutions, check processing through the Alogent platform, and marketing and digital banking through Access Softek.

In June, Connected Credit Union and Winslow Community Federal Credit Union merged following regulatory approvals by the National Credit Union Administration and the Maine Bureau of Financial Institutions. The combined institution now serves Kennebec, Somerset, Lincoln, and Waldo Counties.

“Connected Credit Union and Winslow Community Federal Credit Union had been working with Synergent before our merger was finalized, so the decision for our combined institution to continue our relationship with them was an easy one,” said Cathy Bond, President of Connected Credit Union. Bond previously served as CEO of Winslow Community Federal Credit Union.

Connected Credit Union, headquartered in Augusta, Maine, has more than 8,400 members and holds $100 million in assets. The credit union operates three branches in the state.

“Just as our merger was a win-win for our members, so is our new agreement with Synergent,” said Richard Lachance, CEO of Connected Credit Union. “Our partnership with Synergent will provide our credit union the technology solutions we need to grow and improve the financial lives of our members. I have complete confidence in Synergent’s team and what they bring to the table.”

Synergent has been working with Connected Credit Union for over three decades.

“We are thrilled to provide the new Connected Credit Union with a suite of services that will ensure they can continue delivering an exceptional member experience,” said Scott Johnsen, Senior Vice President of Operations at Synergent. “My team has been working with Richard, Cathy, and their dedicated employees for many years. It is a privilege to provide innovative, comprehensive products and services to them in this new capacity.”
