Connecticut League graduates 28 credit union professionals through two-year executive education program

MERIDEN, CT (May 24, 2017) — The Credit Union League of Connecticut recently graduated 28 credit union professionals through its two-year Connecticut Credit Union Executive Education Program. The inaugural cohort of students graduated at the conclusion of their final session on Tuesday, May 9, 2017. Supervisors and CEOs of the graduates attended to congratulate their employees on the achievement.

“More and more credit unions are finding it challenging to fill high-level positions, key to the credit union’s success,” said Jill Nowacki President/CEO, Credit Union League of Connecticut. “We worked with our member-credit unions and topic experts to create a comprehensive program of executive-level education. I’m excited to see where our graduates go as they take the next steps in their credit union careers.”

The executive education program is designed for rising executives seeking well-rounded credit union knowledge. The program broadens the expertise of functional leaders to prepare them for senior management and CEO positions, while also creating opportunities to enhance leadership skills and build a professional network that will help at every stage in a career. Sessions run one full day per month, September through May, and provide a combination of classroom and hands-on learning. The 2016-2018 cohort has concluded their first year and a new 2017-2019 cohort will begin in September.
