NORTH HAVEN, CT (December 29, 2016) — Connex Credit Union announces that three of its members were recent winners in the national Save to Win program. This group, which featured two $25 monthly winners, was highlighted by quarterly-winner Mukai Johnson who received a check worth $500.
Save to Win is a national savings program featuring a prize-linked 12 month share certificate designed to assist those who find difficulty in cultivating strong savings habits. This initiative stimulates healthier financial futures by offering incentives to those who make a committed effort to saving money.
“Congratulations to Mukai on being rewarded for her commitment to saving,” said Carl J. Casper, vice president of customer advocacy, Connex Credit Union. “Save to Win has helped us stress the importance of saving money and has encouraged many of our members to consciously strive toward improving their financial futures.”
A Save to Win account can be opened for as little as $25. This deposit is the first step on the saving journey and is also an entry for monthly and quarterly prizes ranging from $25 to $5,000. Members can receive additional entries for every $25 they deposit, up to ten entries per month. The more deposits members make, the better chance they have of becoming the next winner. The initiative has multiple benefits as members establish a savings account that accrues interest while simultaneously amassing opportunities to win prizes.
Since the inception of the Save to Win program, Connex has had 18 winners.
