Connex recently donated $953.94 to Syd’s Book Shack & Boutique in support of their mission to provide “talker” iPads (iPads with a speech program) to help non-verbal people in finding their voice. Located in Guilford, Syd’s Book Shack and Boutique sells used books, along with numerous apparel options, while assisting with job training and social skills for adolescent individuals on the Autism Spectrum. These funds were raised at the Connex Guilford Branch through Coins-for-Change, Connex’s philanthropic program that donates 100 percent of the fees collected at its coin-cashing machines to charitable organizations.
