Construction begins for new Summit Credit Union branch in Franklin

MADISON, WI (April 30, 2015) — Summit Credit Union will break ground on a new, 3,500-square-foot branch in Franklin, Wisconsin, this May.

The new facility, located at the Shoppes at Wyndham Village development, which is southeast of Highway 100 and Drexel Avenue in Franklin, is expected to open in December, 2015.

“We look forward to making it easier for our existing members in Franklin and the surrounding communities to stop in for interactions and services,” said Kim Sponem, CEO/President of Summit Credit Union. “And because we save members money and believe anyone can succeed financially, we’re also excited to bring Summit’s holistic approach to financial education and wellness to new members in the area.”

Summit has partnered with Madison-based Strang, Inc., to design the full-service branch, which will include a welcoming lobby, drive-through teller area and member service counter and retail wall. Additionally, teller pods will replace traditional teller lines, providing a more welcoming environment conducive to member conversations. J.H. Findorff & Son Inc. is the general contractor.

Six employees — comprised of current staff from Summit’s other branches as well as new hires — will staff the new facility.
