Consumers Credit Union is pleased to announce CFS* Financial Advisor Kara Harmsen has received her Chartered Retirement Planning CounselorSM (CRPC®) designation. The training she received allows her a deeper understanding of complex pre- and post-retirement issues. From helping members increase sources of retirement income to guiding them through investments, the continued training gives Harmsen a broader view of retirement planning resources available at all life stages.
“I believe in lifelong education in business and personal development,” Harmsen says, “and this experience ensures I can provide the best resources to our Consumers members.”
To earn the designation, Harmsen had to successfully complete the specialized program and pass an examination, sign a code of professional ethics and complete a disclosure for attesting to professional conduct.
Harmsen has more than six years of experience in the financial services industry and is securities licensed in Michigan with registrations in Series 6, 7, 63 and 66. She is a graduate of the Eli Broad College of Business at Michigan State University.
