Consumers Credit Union is pleased to announce the addition of Greg Wierenga as a mortgage loan officer in the Grand Rapids market, specifically at the Cascade office.
An experienced mortgage loan officer, Wierenga is passionate about helping families achieve their homeownership goals, whether it’s owning their first home, purchasing a forever home or upgrading to the lake house they’ve always dreamed of and everything in between.
“I love meeting new people,” said Wierenga. “Helping members achieve their goals of being a homeowner is extremely rewarding.”
He joins a team of more than two dozen mortgage lenders at the credit union, which grew mortgage originations in 2020 to an all-time high of over $500 million. The record growth was accompanied by fast service, too, as nearly all loans originated at Consumers were cleared to close under 30 days through the credit union’s #FastApp Mortgage application.
