CARBONDALE, IL (April 19, 2016) — Brenda Cook has been promoted to Branch Manager at SIU Credit Union’s Harrisburg branch located at 777 Ford Street, according to Erica Pankey, Vice President of Operations. Cook will be responsible for providing operational leadership to branch staff, including staff development and retention, and delivery of outstanding service.
“I’m happy to have Brenda lead our team in Harrisburg. Her demonstrated leadership and credit union expertise will ensure we’re helping make our members’ financial lives better,” said Pankey.
Beginning her credit union career at Ventura County Credit Union and LA Financial Federal Credit Union in California, Cook has been working in credit unions
for 13 years. Prior to her new role with SIU Credit Union, Cook served as a Member Service Representative in Marion. She is a local blood drive coordinator for the American Red Cross, volunteers for the Eldorado Museum and, is involved at Faith Lutheran Church in Eldorado.
“As branch manager, my goals are to continue to provide outstanding member service and offer quality products for our field of membership within Southern Illinois,” said Cook. “I want to make a difference in the financial future of our members and the youth of our communities.”
Cook resides in Eldorado, IL with her husband, Jim.
