Corporate Central Credit Union holds Annual Meeting and announces Board of Directors

MILWAUKEE, WI (May 11, 2016) — On Thursday, May 5, 2016, Corporate Central Credit Union held its Annual Meeting in conjunction with the Wisconsin Credit Union League’s Annual Meeting and Convention at the KI Convention Center  in Green Bay, WI.

Addressing the membership, Chairman Kim Sponem, and Interim President & CEO Chris Felton reported on Corporate Central’s strong financial position, adding 23 new members in 2015 and now serving credit unions in 20 states across the country from New York to Hawaii.  Chairman Kim Sponem reported that “Corporate Central is here to help its members navigate the financial system, to provide liquidity sources, competitive rates, new products and services such as InterLutions to bring better pricing collectively, and be a support to your operations.”

Interim President & CEO Chris Felton stated “I-Care, a collaborative group healthcare solution developed by credit unions for credit unions through Corporate Central Credit Union’s CUSO InterLutions, was created in response to one of the biggest challenges facing credit unions and all employers – the ever escalating costs of healthcare.”  He added “We are laser focused on creating new products and services.  In addition to I-Care, we are developing services and partnerships to bring a number of solutions to you in 2016 and 2017 that focus on helping you to improve efficiency and operations.  We are committed to serving you and helping you to be wildly successful while serving your members”

WI DFI Office of Credit Unions Director, Kim Santos reported Corporate Central as “one of the strongest Corporates in the nation.  Wisconsin and member credit unions are fortunate to have Corporate Central Credit Union as a financial option.”

During the business portion of the meeting, election results stated the time period in which nominations could be accepted had expired, and no additional candidates had been placed in nomination; therefore, the four incumbents, Eric Chrisinger, Pete Paulson, Kim Sponem, and Thomas Young were declared Directors of Corporate Central Credit Union.

At an Organizational Meeting held after the Annual Meeting, the four Board members comprising the Executive Committee were determined.  They are: Chairman, Kim Sponem – Summit Credit Union; Vice Chairman, Eric Chrisinger – Co-op Credit Union; Secretary, Sally Dischler – Heartland Credit Union; Treasurer, Ronald Vogel – Fort Community Credit Union.

Following the meetings, members participated in a town style meeting with Interim President & CEO Chris Felton, and Brett Thompson, Wisconsin Credit Union League, President & CEO where they presented the state of the credit union industry.  Members gained a deep insight from these two industry leaders on strategic initiatives, opportunities, and challenges within the credit union movement.
