Credit Union donates $16,100 to Wildlands restorations volunteers

Blue Federal Credit Union donated $16,100 to WRV at Boulder Chamber of Commerce Young Professional Business after Hours held in late January.

Each year, WRV volunteers donate more than $1 million worth of time and expertise to help restore the region’s natural heritage. They believe in a culture of stewardship when it comes to taking care of natural beauty. That legacy is what attracted Blue to the organization and ultimately its selection for the Credit Union’s annual campaign donation.

“WRV’s team is inspired by Blue’s DoGood campaign and were going to be talking with our teams about “raising their giving game”. Kudos to Blue for being a leader in community support – what they are doing is working and it is inspiring others to make similar contributions”, said Executive Director of WRV, Katherine Thompson.

“Blue’s DoGood campaign is a clear statement about their commitment to meet the needs of our local community, as the provider of excellent financial services and supporters of critical philanthropic causes,” said John Tayer, Boulder Chamber President and CEO. “We applaud Blue’s partnership with great organizations like Wildlands Restoration Volunteers and the inspiration they provide for all of us to do more good.”
