LA JOLLA, CA (October 1, 2019) — Anne Legg, founder of THRIVE Strategic Services is re-launching THRIVE with a charity climb of Mt. Kilimanjaro, located in Tanzania, Africa. Anne will attempt to summit Mt. Kilimanjaro, the tallest free-standing mountain in the world at 19,000 feet, from October 8-17, 2019
“As I thought about the re-launch of THRIVE, I knew I wanted to make a different kind of impact. “ Anne Legg said. “Personally, I have wanted to climb Kilimanjaro for nearly 20 years. So, now is the perfect time to fuse this personal passion with my professional passion for helping credit unions transform their members’ lives with data. Making it a fundraiser was the next obvious action to take. As this is Thrive 3.0, three causes seem fitting. ”

They do fantastic work to further their mission of improving ‘people’s financial lives through credit unions. I had the tremendous opportunity of speaking at the CU FIN Health conference this year, and I am truly inspired by the work that they are doing. Donations can be made here.

Girls on the run is a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating a world where every girl knows and activates her limitless potential via achieving her first 5k. I have handed out the finishing medals for this event and have been deeply touched by the pride and confidence that each runner exudes. Donations can be made here.
Feeding San Diego
Feeding San Diego is leading my local community in the fight against hunger. Through their efficient distribution model focused on reducing food waste, every dollar donated helps provide four nutritious meals. I have been volunteering for them for a few years. One volunteer data project helped them quantify the impact of volunteer hours to meals served. Over 1 million meals were generated from volunteers who gave only two hours of their time.
