Credit Union of America announces new hires & promotions

WICHITA, KS (April 17, 2024)CREDIT UNION OF AMERICA (CUA) is delighted to announce the following new hires and promotions:

Aaron Clay as Technology Applications Manager. With a nine-year career in banking including four years with CUA, Clay will now serve CUA’s membership by supporting all core system and ancillary technology applications. With a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management Information Systems, he is well-equipped to drive the expansion of CUA’s presence in the digital realm.

Kelley Scherer as Loan Operations Manager. Throughout her 25-year career, Scherer has held various roles within CUA, demonstrating adaptability and expertise. Starting as a Teller to CUA’s Member Service Center, Service Center Lead and her most recent position as Loan Operations Lead, Scherer has exemplified leadership and professionalism each step of the way. Scherer will continue leading the loan operations team and will now oversee additional functions such as title and loan processing. Scherer’s expertise will drive loan growth and further CUA’s objective of serving its members.

Blake Penner as Vice President of Technology & Data Analysis. With over 14 years of experience in the Information Technology field, including nearly 12-years of tenure with CUA, Penner will now oversee the Development, Technology Applications and Business Intelligence departments at CUA. 

David Williams as Branch Manager of CUA’s newest office at 1800 Claflin Rd in Manhattan, Kansas. Williams started his career at CUA as the Assistant Branch Manager for the office in Goddard, Kansas. With two bachelor’s degrees in mathematics and finance from the University of Minnesota and Kansas State University, Williams will be responsible for bringing Credit Union of America’s “Welcome to Friendly” service standards to Manhattan.
