American First Credit Union (AFCU) donated over $5,200 to the Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC) through their virtual CHOC Walk program. CHOC Walk in the Parkpresented by the Disneyland® Resort is a yearly walk that focuses on raising funds to support health care programs, education, and research for children in Southern California.
The walk is normally held at the Disneyland® Resort of Anaheim, but was cancelled due to COVID-19. However, AFCU associates still wanted to support CHOC. Instead, AFCU associates participated by creating their own walk across a variety of locations, including hiking trails, beaches, and treadmills. Additionally, AFCU hosted internal virtual fundraisers to raise money for the cause, including a silent auction and creating care packages.
CHOC Walk is a yearly 5K walk hosted by CHOC, CHOC strives to provide the highest quality medical care to children with life-threatening diseases and injuries.
