Credit Union Resources adds commercial lending to audit and consulting services

Credit Union Resources, Inc.’s Audit and Consulting Services (ACS) recently added commercial lending to its service solutions to help credit unions with their business lending operations.

“ACS’s new commercial lending services are for credit unions thinking about a new or expanded source of loan income,” said Chad Stanislav, vice president. “Our experienced specialists can perform an impact analysis to examine the effectiveness of a credit union’s risk management practices and their commercial loan portfolio.”

ACS’s commercial lending service includes commercial loan underwriting, loan modifications, and MBL document compliance. Portfolio analysis takes into consideration the credit union’s membership base, current business loans, covenants, internal expertise, policies and procedures, soundness of underwriting standards, credit administration practices, and appetite for commercial risk.

“Equally important is assessment of a credit union’s business lines and loan offerings in relation to the impact of the coronavirus pandemic,” said Amanda Dawson, business operations consultant for ACS.

“Our team can make a thorough assessment and build a contingency plan for any future business interruptions,” said Dawson. “We’ll also make recommendations for implementing modifications and safeguards that will give credit union leaders peace of mind going forward.”

ACS also provides member business lending training to credit union staff, and credit union leadership can benefit from consulting with ACS specialists to develop value-added services for their members.

Audit and Consulting Services, which is a division of Credit Union Resources, Inc., a subsidiary of Cornerstone Credit Union League, does not require that clients be members of the League or located in Arkansas, Oklahoma, or Texas. Most of ACS’s services are available to credit unions across the country.
