Credit union strategist Kathy Darwin launches strategic coaching services

As a response to the post-pandemic economy, ongoing accountability & coaching services have been developed to fit the modern credit union’s needs.

PHOENIX, ARIZONA (June 9, 2023) — Kathy Darwin, longtime credit union strategic planner, has launched a new service to address the changing needs of modern credit unions. Strategic coaching is a revolutionary service which blends traditional strategic planning services and an ongoing coaching and accountability partnership, creating a flexible, efficient, and timely solution.

“We are in an environment where credit union and non-profit decision makers must strategize throughout the year, not just once a year, creating the need for tools, resources, and consistent check-ins on a monthly or quarterly basis,” said Darwin, who has over 20 years’ experience in credit union strategic planning. Her strategic planning and coaching solutions offer practical application and action-driven processes, combined with monthly accountability check-ins, to create realistic and high-performing results.

“There was a time when strategic planning meant going to a resort out of town, spending three days eating fancy meals, playing golf, sight-seeing and allowing 1- 1.5 days of planning,” said Darwin. Her updated planning process does not include a long planning session; she focuses on what is important, which is the action. A critical piece that’s often overlooked is the monthly follow-up strategic discussion. Anyone should be able to join these sessions, and everyone should bring a voice to the table.

Darwin is redefining the credit union strategic planning process, guiding it into the 21st century. In a world where everything else has changed, why not the strategic planning process?
