Credit Union Student Choice to host free webinar on student loan repayment
WASHINGTON, DC (August 29, 2016) — Entering repayment for student loans can be just as stressful and confusing to borrowers as funding a college education in the first place. In its continued efforts to educate students and families on the importance of financial responsibility, Credit Union Student Choice will host a free national webinar to help answer common questions about student loan repayment.
The webinar will be held September 14, 2016, and will be offered at 1:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. ET. Registration is available at
www.studentchoice.org/national-webinars. Led by Student Choice College Access Counselor Patricia Poplicean, the webinar will help borrowers:
- Understand repayment options while they are enrolled in school
- National Student Loan Data (NSLDS)
- Annual Credit Reports
- Who is your student loan servicer?
- How to save by making full payments or interest only payments while enrolled in school
- Understand repayment options after graduation or separation from school
- Federal loan repayment options
- Private loan repayment options
- Update on the 2016-2017 FAFSA

This is the third in a series of quarterly national webinars hosted by Poplicean; to date, more than 500 attendees have benefited from content on preparing for college and completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
