Credit Union Times Announces Newest ‘Trailblazers 40 Below’ Honoree of 2013

Program recognizes credit union industry’s ‘rising young talent’

 Washington, D.C., March 25, 2013—Credit Union Times today announced its newest honoree in its Trailblazers 40 Below program for 2013. Designed to recognize credit union executives under 40 who are working to better the industry’s future, the program includes an online mentoring component that helps young professionals and more seasoned executives to share experiences and learn from each other.

The first quarter Trailblazers 40 Below included Michael Bell, attorney with Howard & Howard; Patrick Basler, President/CEO of First Financial Credit Union (Chicago); and Nathan Schmidt, Executive Vice President of Marketing and Business Development for San Diego County Credit Union.

“Each of these young credit union professionals are commendable for their creative problem solving,” Publisher/Editor-in-Chief Sarah Snell Cooke said. “We enjoyed uncovering each of these rising stars’ stories and their contributions toward a stronger credit union community.”
