Crosstown Civic Credit Union moves to Central 1’s MemberDirect® platform

VANCOUVER, BC (May 17, 2017) — Central 1 Credit Union (Central 1) is pleased to announce that Crosstown Civic Credit Union, based in Winnipeg, is migrating to the MemberDirect® platform.

Central 1’s digital banking platform will provide a range of self-service and mobile features to meet the changing needs of Crosstown Civic Credit Union’s 31,000 members. MemberDirect® is Canada’s premier outsourced direct banking solution, used by over 240 credit unions and other financial institutions.

“We are delighted to expand our relationship with one of the largest credit unions in the country and deliver MemberDirect’s industry leading capabilities to even more Prairie communities,” said Oscar van der Meer, Chief Technology Officer of Central 1. “This partnership demonstrates our commitment to meeting their needs and helping them serve their members. We look forward to working with the team from Crosstown Civic Credit Union.”

MemberDirect’s platform provides many benefits to credit unions, including the ability for seamless integration with multiple providers. The platform integrates with services such as Interac e-Transfer, which lets members send or receive money via a mobile phone or computer to anyone with a Canadian bank account, and Deposit Anywhere™, launching later this summer, which makes it easy to deposit a cheque with a quick photo on your mobile phone.

“Our goal is to give our members great value and provide the features and services they need,” said Mona Forsen, CEO of Crosstown Civic. “Working with Central 1 will allow us to offer a best-in-class mobile app and features such as Deposit Anywhere.”
