CU Business Group’s Michael Mucilli to retire after 20 years of service
PORTLAND, OR (August 30, 2023) — CU Business Group announces the retirement of Michael Mucilli, Senior Business Services Officer and Senior Vice President, after 20 years of service. He will retire in September 2023.
Mike joined CUBG in 2003, launching the commercial services CUSO’s growth on the East Coast and helping to establish the organization as a leader in the credit union industry. Mike also helped to expand CUBG’s suite of services and create innovative strategies to help credit unions better serve their business members.

In his consulting role Mike has also served as a mentor and role model to many, always willing to lend his expertise and guidance to those in need.
Regarding his time at CUBG, Mike says, “I’ve enjoyed the many opportunities for growth my sales and consulting role at CUBG has afforded me, both personally and professionally. I have also enjoyed the opportunity to meet and work with literally thousands of credit union employees from almost all states, some of whom have become personal friends. Being part of the company’s successful growth and working with the CUBG staff over the years has been a pleasure.”
Angela Back, VP/Senior Business Services Officer, will take on Mike’s consulting role at CUBG. Angela is a long-time commercial services veteran with credit union experience and more than 25 years in commercial banking and working with small business owners. Angela started with CUBG earlier this year and has an extensive experience in business development, commercial deposits, and all types of commercial lending including hospitality, construction, C&I, and SBA lending.
