CU Social Good exceeds 1,500 stories posted!

BISMARCK, ND (October 24, 2013) -- In January of 2013, the Credit Union Association of the Dakotas (CUAD) announced the official launch of a new website, dedicated solely to the sharing of the good things that credit unions do for people and their communities every day - CU Social Good.   Now, less than one year later, we are excited to announce that we have posted over 1,500 individual stories about credit unions reaching out to their communities!

Credit unions give back to their local communities in an amazing variety of creative and generous ways, and credit union employees and members are well known for their volunteer work and charitable fundraising events.  At CU Social Good, you will find these “good news” stories of credit unions and credit union people being involved in their communities – helping charities, promoting financial literacy, providing scholarships, volunteering their time, and supporting people and planet over profit.

This website can be used by all in our industry for legislative lobbying efforts, awareness campaigns, and community relations, but above all, to help generate a new public awareness that will help us to remain successful in our mission for years to come.

We welcome and encourage credit unions from around the country to contribute their stories.  Share your creative and heart-warming ideas with the entire credit union community!

Please visit our website at http://www.cusocialgood.com/ AND don’t forget to sign up to receive the Spotlight – a once weekly emailed newsletter that highlights some of our favorite stories each week.

To submit your credit union’s story, email to sharestories@cusocialgood.com or follow the link on the website home page.
