CU Social Good, the Credit Union Association of the Dakotas’ (CUAD) online platform for credit unions to share good news, is bringing the philosophy of “People Helping People” directly to credit union professionals attending CUNA’s Governmental Affairs Conference (GAC) this week.
All GAC attendees may receive an “I support CU Social Good” button to wear on their lanyard in return for a $1 donation to charity. Five charities have been identified as possible recipients: CU4Kids; the American Cancer Society; Habitat for Humanity; National Wildlife Federation; and the American Red Cross.
Each person who donates $1 will be entered for a chance to choose the charity to which the donations collected during the GAC are awarded! In addition, CU Social Good will match the donation, up to $500! This is another great example of how credit unions Unite for Good in all that we do! If you are attending the GAC, be sure to stop by booth #143 and share your credit union’s good news story!
Launched by CUAD in 2013 and recognized by CUNA in 2014 as the “Best Community Relations Program,” CU Social Good is the only online platform dedicated solely to the sharing of the good things that credit unions do for people and their communities every day. Since the initial launch, over 2,800 amazing stories from 44 states have been posted!
Headquartered in Bismarck, ND, the Credit Union Association of the Dakotas (CUAD) is the professional financial trade association serving 68 credit unions in North and South Dakota with assets in excess of $5.5 billion and serving over 450,000 credit union members.
