GRAND RAPIDS, MI (October 29, 2014) -- David Wordhouse, VP of Network Technologies, participated in an executive technology round table event hosted by the West Michigan Cisco Users Group, at Davenport University on October 29th. Also participating on the panel were the CIO of Davenport University and the CIO of Amway North America. In attendance were about 100 technology professionals and students.
The round table event is an open forum conversation about technology concepts, strategies, and tactics from a business perspective. Topics included security programs and challenges, cloud computing, employee recruiting and retention strategies, outsourcing, the evolution of collaboration between IT staff and business leaders, mobility and others.
“It was exciting to have a platform for promoting the credit union industry and its collaborative spirit in a format alongside of education and manufacturing and distribution industries. In many ways our industry is performing every well, particularly with security concepts and awareness. We should be excited about that because even most small credit unions have a more advanced security posture than larger corporations,” comments David Wordhouse.
The event is held annually in the fall. More information is available here: http://www.wmcug.org/
