CUES, Cornerstone Advisors, Inc. partner to bring IT leadership school to the industry
MADISON, WI (April 21, 2015) — The CUES School of IT Leadership, coming to the credit union industry Sept. 15 – 17, 2015, San Antonio, will help information technology leaders better understand ways to play a relevant part in delivering value and exceptional service to members.
“Current and future CIOs, board members, and executive teams attending CUES School of IT Leadership will discover ways to guide their IT organization’s direction and spending,” said Dawn Poker, CUES’ interim CEO, SVP/Chief Sales & Member Relations Officer.
“Our goal with the school is to help credit union CIOs develop the leadership capabilities that will enable them to transform their IT teams into powerful components of their credit unions’ growth and strategies,” said Butch Leonardson, a recognized IT leader, 2014 Bank Systems & Technology Elite 8 honoree, and previous SVP/CIO at BECU in Seattle, who joined Cornerstone Advisors in late 2014 to lead the firm’s Executive Coaching Service for Financial Services IT Professionals.
Leonardson and Cornerstone co-founder Steve Williams will be instructors at the school. The school will focus on critical areas, including:
– Building the IT organization (ITO) around market forces, and around the moments that matter in the CU’s products and delivery channels
– Understanding the blur between physical and digital channels, and how to drive stronger integration
– Following the “outside-in” model for developing IT strategy
– Building a compelling IT culture that attracts top technical and business talent
– Creating the processes and culture for rapid execution of change initiatives
