Madison, Wis. – Membership in the CUNA CFO Council has reached an all-time high, exceeding 1,000 members.  Pam Finch, Chair of the Council and CFO at Mid Minnesota FCU in Baxter, MN announced the historic numbers at their annual conference May 16-19 in New Orleans. Founded in 1994 with just over 100 members, the not for profit Council has grown every year since then except one (2001).

“That we now have more than 1,000 members is a testament to value of the CUNA CFO Council as a resource,” says Finch.  “These may be the toughest times we’ve ever seen and CFOs face more challenges than ever.” According to Finch, “the fact that this Council has continued to grow, in the face of all that has occurred, speaks volumes about how CFOs regard it as an as a critical resource for credit union financial professionals.”

To celebrate the occasion, the CUNA CFO Council is running a promotion for members to submit a success story of how the council has helped them. The contest is running until June 18th and the randomly chosen winner will receive an Apple iPad. More information and an entry form can found at www.cunacfocouncil.org  (click the “Tell Us Your Story” button).

To join the Council, individuals must be paid staff with finance responsibilities from CUNA-affiliated credit unions. For more information, visit www.cunacfocouncil.org.
