CUNA Mutual Group’s February Credit Union Trends Report

CUNA Mutual Group’s February Credit Union Trends Report is now available. Highlights from the report follow.

February 2017:

  • Credit union loan balances rose 10.9% in 2016, up from the 10.3% reported in 2015.
  • Credit union new auto loan balances rose 1.9% in December, faster than the 1.5% pace set in December 2015, and rose 17.4% for the full year.
  • Credit unions added 485,000 memberships in December, bringing the 2016 membership growth to 4.7 million new members.
