CUNA Mutual Group’s November Credit Union Trends Report

CUNA Mutual Group’s November Credit Union Trends Report is now available. Highlights from the report are below:

October 2016:

  • Credit union savings balances rose 1.5% in September, greater than the 0.2% gain reported in September 2015, due to the month ending on a payday Friday.
  • Credit unions added more than 3.471 million memberships in the first nine months of 2016, the fastest pace in credit union history.
  • Loan balances rose 7.8% during the first nine months of this year, slightly below the 8.0% reported for the similar period last year.
