Results from Annual Election by the Not for Profit, Member Led Professional Organization
MADISON, WI (September 29, 2014) -- The CUNA Technology Council announced its executive committee and officers during the Council’s 19th Annual Conference, which took place Sept. 21-24, in Las Vegas. This is a result of the most recent annual election by the council membership in the months preceding the conference.
Belinda Caillouet, chief operations officer, chief information officer, Spokane Teachers CU in Spokane, Wash. will remain the executive committee chair. Guy Russo, chief information officer, CommunityAmerica CU in Lenexa, Kan. will remain vice-chair and Mike Atkins, chief information officer, Bellco CU, Centennial, Colo. will remain the 2nd vice-chair. Idrees Rafiq Jr., avp, information technology consulting, Credit Union Resources, Inc. was appointed as the League representative.
The following incumbent was re-elected:
- Ben Morales, chief technology officer, chief operations officer, Washington State ECU, in Olympia, Wash.
Three new members elected to the executive committee are:
- Linda Barker, vice president of information technology, Greater Nevada CU in Carson City, Nev.
- Bobby Matthis, vice president of information technology, Westerra CU in Denver, Colo.
- Todd Richardson, senior vice president of information technology, Park Community CU in Louisville, Ky.
The new members replace outgoing executive committee members who have served their terms: Heather Moshier, executive vice president, information technology, San Diego County CU in San Diego, Calif., Robert Reh, chief information officer, Nassau Financial FCU, Westbury, N.Y. and Brad Sears, senior vice president, chief information officer, Grow Financial FCU, Tampa, Fla.
The Technology Council’s executive committee also includes:
- Alex Barker, senior vice president, chief information officer, Mountain America CU, in West Jordan, Utah
- Jeff Johnson, senior vice president, information technology, Baxter CU in Vernon Hills, Ill.
- Jennifer Robert, vice president, information technology, Genisys CU, in Pontiac, Mich.
- Chris Saneda, senior vice president, chief information officer, Virginia CU, in Richmond, Va.
- Kyle Welsh, vice president of technology services, BECU, in Seattle, Wash.
CUNA Technology Council
Established in 1995, the CUNA Technology Council is a member-led organization made up of more than 750 credit union technology experts across the United States.
