CUNA Technology Council celebrates 700 members

MADISON, WI (June 23, 2014) -- The CUNA Technology Council has reached the milestone of 700 members, a result of several years of impressive growth and a collective commitment to striving for excellence in the credit union industry. The Technology Council is among the fastest-growing Councils.

“The Technology Council’s continued growth signifies how much our membership values being part of a peer-led, industry-focused, and discipline-focused organization,” says Belinda Caillouet, Technology Council Executive Committee Chair and COO/CIO at Spokane Teachers Credit Union (STCU) in Spokane, WA. “Considering technology is becoming an even greater challenge, I can’t imagine being in the credit union industry in a leadership capacity without being a CUNA Technology Council member.”

Brad Sears, Technology Council Membership Committee Chair and SVP/CIO at Grow Financial FCU in Tampa, FL adds, “reaching this milestone reflects how much value credit unions bring to each other and how collaborating with one another on tech issues is truly in everyone’s best interests; you’d be hard-pressed to find a similar group of this caliber that freely shares information in another industry.”

Credit union technology leaders who are not yet members may join 700-plus peers by joining the Council at www.cunatechnologycouncil.org. The Council’s 2014 National Conference is set for September 21-24 at Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, NV. Sessions will include a focus on technology, innovation, and digital topics as well as strategic and leadership issues.
