CUNA Technology Council Conference, CUNA Operations, Sales & Service Council Conference charity raffle raises $15,000 for Credit Unions for Kids

WASHINGTON, DC (October 25, 2016) — The Credit Unions for Kids charity raffle held during CUNA Technology Council Conference and CUNA Operations, Sales & Service Council Conference, Sept. 28-Oct. 1, 2016 in Las Vegas, raised a total of $15,000 for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, which helps fund children’s healthcare, equipment purchases, training and medical research.

Conference attendees purchased $7,500 in raffle tickets at the conference. This figure was matched by the credit union technology and innovation network CO-OP Financial Services, bringing the final total to $15,000. The check was presented to St. Rose Dominican Hospital on the last day of the conference.

“We’re absolutely blown away by the generosity of the attendees and especially of CO-OP Financial Services, who together have made a clear difference for Nevada’s children,” said Greg Inman, SVP Neighbors CU and OpSS Council chair. “This fundraiser was a reminder of the charitable spirit and community interest that separates credit unions from other financial institutions.”
