CUNA to host third annual Young Professionals Advocacy Training

WASHINGTON, DC (May 7, 2019) — Credit Union National Association (CUNA) will host their third annual Young Professionals Advocacy Training in September. This full-day program teaches attendees the benefits of advocacy, how to build strong relationships with their Members of Congress, and best practices for district and Capitol Hill meetings. The program includes outside speakers, a congressional staff panel, and updates from CUNA and League personnel. The training concludes with an evening reception.

“Young professionals are the future of the credit union movement and we need to stress the importance of advocacy early in their careers,” said Adam Engelman, CUNA Director of Federal Grassroots “The program is both educational and interactive. Attendees will leave with the knowledge and tools to become better advocates for the credit union movement.”

Credit union professionals have the opportunity to attend two training sessions on Sept. 9 and Sept. 23. Registration is now available. Attendees are encouraged to register early because each training is limited to 25 attendees.
