CUSOs help Cumberland County FCU complete successful business continuity test
GRAND RAPIDS, MI (October 16, 2017) — CU*Answers, the Grand Rapids, Michigan-based core data processing CUSO, and Site-Four, the Yankton, South Dakota-based data center CUSO, recently assisted Cumberland County Federal Credit Union (Falmouth, ME) with the testing of the credit union’s business continuity plan. During the testing exercise, the credit union’s production workload from its primary server in Maine was rolled over to its backup server located in the Site-Four hot-site facility. All parties report that the test was completed successfully.
“It goes without saying that the weather-related events of the past few months have business continuity top-of-mind for businesses across the country,” said CU*Answers Executive Vice President Scott Collins, “but our partners at Cumberland County FCU have had a solid, tested plan in place for many years.” Collins continued, “This latest production rollover exercise was a well-coordinated effort between the teams at the credit union, at Site-Four and our operations experts here in Grand Rapids. While we learn something new during every business continuity test, we were very pleased with the results of this latest exercise and commend Scott (Cumberland County FCU CEO Scott Harriman) and his team for the commitment to their disaster recovery plan and investment.”
Cumberland County FCU utilizes the CJ*Answers’ CU*BASE® core data processing suite in an in-house environment.
