CU*SWAG held its first fashion show at the 2011 CU Watercooler Symposium in Fishers, IN on September 30th. For each person that participated in the fashion show, CU*SWAG donated $50 to the Credit Unions 4 Kids group, which benefits the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. A total of $600 was raised and donated.
“Once again we have shown that the asterisk in our name is all about bringing awareness and a focus to a cause. We believe credit unions are a cause and embrace the power of people helping people. We are so grateful for all of the participants, as they as the ones who made this donation possible,” Aaron Mireles, tailor of conversation for CU*SWAG and host of the 2011 CU*SWAG Fashion Show, “A Swag for All Seasons.”
At the symposium, each sponsor was given 12 minutes of stage time to utilize in any way they wished. CU*SWAG chose to use their time not only showcasing their many shirt designs, but raising money for a cause that they so greatly believe in.
CU*SWAG is a viral graphic t-shirt line that provides credit unions with the opportunity to connect with their employees, members and the community. This gives them something fun to wear and turns them into advocates for credit unions. For more information about CU*SWAG, visit www.cuswag.com.
